Camera vans

OK, can I ask for some advise please, A21 north bound 1 mile or so past the morleys junction at the top of the hill is a small layby, parked on the grass is a camera van, and the A21 is a No stopping (clearway )

My point is can they do this, as far as I can see they where parked illegally, I was going just above the limit, but not by much, I know this as I had the cruise control on, can I contest it if I get an NIP through the post, surely they must have to park legally to uphold the law themselves, or am I F****d, cheers in advance for any help or replies

THey are supposed to park legally, but frequently don't. Get a picture and report them

As long as they are not parked causing an obstruction or in a dangerous position.....nothing will happen.

Taking a picture at the time would have helped me (if I get an NIP) but I don't carry a camera in the car with me (but will do as of today, going to buy one later)

If I contest can I just say the where parked illegally, I feel sure I can work out where they were parked when and if I recieve the NIP.

Always worth carrying a camera in the car, its useful for all sorts of things.
