If your driving licence is revoked because you failed to sent it away to be endorsed when caught for speeding, how do you get it un-revoked?

Just fill out an application for a licence form. Its simple, and if you call send it next day, and call them, they can confirm via fax that you can drive. Ive had to do it 4 years ago, I didn't realise I was in that situation. Cost me £20 I believe.

I think "reinstated" might be the word you are looking for. But quite like unrevoked.

I'd go for disvokerised. Much clearer.

See section 88(1)(b) RTA 1988. Fine to drive once a qualifying application has been recieved by DVLA. Use Signed For post. DVLA info:

I think the correct term is de-disunrevokated.

I'm with slow above. Title should be "How do I get my licence voked?"

Thanks for the lesson, but I'll stick with unrevoked

Different meaning though? unrevoked is not revoked, you want something which has been revoked to be reinstated.

Surely if your licence has been revoked you need to apply for a new provisional and retake your test?

Piffle!

They used to give you one year after it happened, but the grace period is far shorter now. It is intended to force you to submit your licence for endorsement and nothing more.

If you are disqualified from driving for 56 days or more then your licence will automatically be revoked.

Why??? Licences can be revoked for many reasons, medical for example. Once the problem is sorted the licence can be reinstated. No need for a new provisional and a test.

I hadn't realised that, I only associate the word with new drivers having their licences automatically revoked on collecting 6 points. In that case it's gone, it's not a temporary thing, you have to start again. There's obviously more going on in the world than I know about smile
