Will my property be returned?

Following an incident at my home two years ago, several items were taken as "evidence"

I am not sure if all of them were used as exhibits, but I know some were, it has been a year since the trial, and whilst I don't particularly want these items, neither do I want the to fall into someone elses hands.

Do I have to request them to be returned, and if so to whom do I address my request.

Yes. You can have them back. You need to contact the property officer at the station where the incident was dealt with. Property officers are ususally civilian and work office hours Monday to Friday.

If you cannot locate the property officer, you need to get in contact with the officer in the case. That is the person who dealt with the incident. That officer is responsible for the property and should be able to return it to you if the case is now dealt with.
