Anyone seen the people standing around in towns wearing the Dominos Pizza advertising, well they seem to have invaded around my work town, its a small town with limited traffic so they have all decided to move up onto a very busy A road (A507) https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.030583,-0.332377...
This morning one off the 'employes' was steeping into the road with her arms above her head as you would if you where stopping traffic. She was leaving a decent gap but the car in front of me didn't see her as you lose sight due to the roundabout, when the car did spot her it performed a full on 4 wheel brake lock up emergency stop. I was behind and had plenty of gap and good brakes so no a big issue, the car behind me got very close to hitting me but didnt.
Is it legal to distract drivers, this is obviously the idea, "don't look at the road look at me and my pizza board".Its not so bad in towns, but that stretch of road is FAST and people make progress, and some loon jumping and waving their arms in the road is a very bad idea IMHO.
Is there a law on this, the are circumventing the regs on signs buy having someone wear it, but can they deliberately attract drivers attention ?

No different to any other roadside advertising.
Try some of the H&M swimwear or Next lingerie adverts alongside the elevated bit of the A4 in London near the Audi showroom if you really want distracting.

How is someone dressed as a Pizza running in to the highway no different to a roadside billboard?

I could easily ignore a berk dressed as a pizza.
A 60' high image of a lass in her best light fighting order is a little harder to miss.

not dressed as pizza, dressed like this, it is different to a normal advert as they don't interact with the traffic. How about a sign that as you get near it appears to fall into the road as if it was going to hit you but at the last second popped back up again, kind of like the Jaws 19 movie in back to the future II, would that be cool.

Also the ones up by the M5/6M, always wondered why they are allowed - road safety and all that jazz.

I like the carwash ones that dress up like spongebob squarepants. They are always a bit grubby and deflated, looks like spongebob is a bit down on his luck, living in the gutter and has taken to drunken dancing on a roundabout for people to throw change at him.

I experienced this first hand when going up to Birmingham last year.

New roads + early morning start to journey + never been there before + a fking pizza dancing in the road = a recipe for disaster.

I thought those must have been some rather special mushrooms on my breakfast that morning...
