I have to say I am impressed with morrisons here. I went into their stratford store with the wife. didn't realise that they had an ANPR system in there. I sat in the car and the wife did the shopping. an hour later she comes back, 70 quid lighter, and off we go.

2 weeks later I get a parkingeye ticket saying we didn't buy any parking time when we were there.

I write an email to Morrisons saying that there was an oversight here and enclose a copy of the wifes bank statement showing the expenditure on the shopping, and 3 days later I get a call, and an email, confirming the ticket has been cancelled.

not a massive deal in the scheme of things but thumbs up to morrisons for sorting this out for me in a fair way, without the need for me to get my hands dirty.

In that hour you didn't notice anyone purchasing a ticket?

Fairness would have been you paying for what you used rather then trying to worm out of it.

So what?

It was a pay and display car park, and he didn't.

Furthermore, he apparently didn't even volunteer to pay that when caught. He just when whining to Morrisons instead, but hey that worked so win win huh.

I've never paid to park in a supermarket car park, I honestly wouldn't think to look for a parking meter.

Good result for a bonafide customer.

don't worry to balance his negative karma, i paid in a pay and display on Saturday afternoon to then find out it was free after 1pm so i splurged a quid for nowt.

perhaps i'll pay more attention to times next time, just noticed Saturday on the list of times so paid.

It was probably one of those where your parking is refunded against your store purchases.

By this criminal act, he's making everyone's grocery bill just that little bit dearer. Why should decent law abiding members of the public have to pay for maverick individuals two fingers up to authority, and ultimately to every one of us ?

Not quite sure where to start with that to be honest.

Anyway it was one of these car parks where you pay a quid then get it knocked off at the till.

Thumbs up from morrisons from me.
