Driving into work yesterday and say blue flashing lights behind me. An Ambulance.
Pulled into lane 1 on the M62, but others were in lane three, about 80MPH with the ambulance now up their arses. Do people not look in their mirrors?
Anyway, the finally move over and ambulance gets up to perhaps 90MPH ish, THEN, numpty starts tailgating the ambulance trying to get it to move out of the way.

I ask you!.

The ambulance didn't and I thought at one point mr Numpty was going to undertake it.

If the ambulance was only comfortable doing 90 and there was space to his left why not pull in?

Are you not allowed to even follow an ambulance which has an emergency?

But a police car can issue tickets. Ambulances cannot.

At face value, I would imagine that ambulances should pull over if a lane of the left is clear. After all, there could be a TrafPol car dashing to the same incident. He won't want to be stuck behind the ambulance all the way there.

I've overtaken both ambulances and fire engines when they were blue-lighting on a dual carriageway/motorway, both were using normal lane discipline (i.e. keep left).

Ambulance chasing is the quickest way through traffic as the ambulance creates a wake.

I recall overtaking a green goddess on a M/way when it was in convoy with 2 cop cars running escort. All running blues and twos.

They were doing 45mph FFS.....
