I've just got my licence back after being endorsed for speeding but nowhere does it say when points were applied, when they expire, or even how many I've got.
How are you supposed to know?

How did you get done, Court or fixed penalty? I guess they expect you should know either way.

It was a fixed penalty.
Cheers for the link B&C but I can't get any info without my NI number.
What a pain in the arse, why can't they just give me a piece of paper??

Ok I'll concede to that point, but why not show the points on the card then?

The photo card licence is an EU thing & all the countries in the EU don't deal with endorsable offences the same way.

Don't they specify what the fixed penalty is? Are they still 3 points and a £100?

I can safely advise you that the points will still be on your licence at payday.

Is this really a thread about wanting to keep the paper counterpart?

Well it does seem long winded how the new system works (or doesn't).

Why you can't just use your licence number to get the info that was once on a piece of paper for all to see, is beyond me.

I'm sure 'they' won't forget smile

It was more about asking how to get the info about your points (for insurance renewal time, etc) as their letter doesn't even mention it.

Because that info is personal to you and was only available if you let people see it.
