Just read in the Southern Daily Echo that 'due to drivers flouting the temporary 50mph limit between J7 & J9', mobile cameras are to be set up.

Keep your eyes open and be careful out there.



not that any of us would consider committing such a heinous crime, of course

In my experiene temp speed limits at motorway roadworks are always a favourite spot for speed checks.

AFAIK, the M27 has never had fixed or semi-fixed scameras before so this will be a first. They normally have their cash machines, sorry vans, parked discreetly on top of the bridges (at Hedge End, if you know the area).

Wouldn't want anyone to get complacent thinking the camera warning signs have been put up just for show...

Thats funny, was up that way last weekend and dont remember seeing such a limit. Heard a rumour that they were putting gantry cameras in the area and headed up there with full sensors to disprove this.

They're in the roadworks.

There are already electronic 'Slow Down 50' signs at either end. They seem to be set to light up when you approach at 40.
