Long been a fan of the FM style of policing. If on first seeing something the instinctive reaction is to go "F ck Me!" then there's usually an offence in there somewhere.

So today saw somebody towing a trailer behind a van. Odd looking trailer, turned out to be a wood fired pizza oven. Clearly judging by the heat haze coming off it and the crap coming out of the flue it was effing hot. Couldn't get to see if it was actually being fired, surely nobody is that stupid but anyway.

So wtf! What's the offence, can't see anything under carriage of dangerous goods rules, unless it's under the catch all other dangerous substances section.

Any ideas?

If it helps the driver is known and proven to be a bit of an idiot.

If it is an offence would traction engines or hot tar lorries or road paint lorries also not be committing an offence?

Plus if he got in a multicar shunt it could involve the Domino's effect.

Good point about tar and white lining lorries. Steam vehicles are probably under some old regs.

But aren't the fires guarded in these. Hot surfaces seemed to be exposed. Dunno but looked iffy tbh.

If you had to wait for the cooking gear to get cold before moving, then mobile fish'n'chip vans would be out of business by the end of the week.

A prosecution for that would be a PITA.

One medium crash and a drink free with any large crash.

I would contact the police and see if they can get to the crust of the matter.
