Interesting and useful, but even better if it included all marques.

well i'm fecked regarding car security, my mini has door locks from the age when dixon of dock green was standing on every street corner so strength of locks wasn't a priority and the ginetta currently doesn't lock - even if it did the roof doesn't connect to the window so you can get your hand in easily by applying some moderate force

I do have discloks on both of them though

plus i'm afflicted by the disease I like to call "the fear" - which is when you simply must park your car within sight of where you are, and when you hear people outside (passers by, whatever) you jump up and peer out the window

The VX220 comes up as red, but there's nothing imho you could do about it.

No point in Tracker as if it's stolen I don't want it back.

It already has an imobiliser and CAT1 alarm. If someone really wanted it they'd just go in through the roof. Typically though hardly any get stolen as it's too difficult to get in and out of no space for your mates or any stolen goods and far too unique.

A lot of people can't figure out how to start it, even when they have the key!

What you get if you use Microsoft SW:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Line 1: Incorrect syntax near '='.

Interestingly makes no mention of the devices I fit to all my vehicles, namely gearbox locks.

I use Mul-T-Lock to secure the cars. This is a pin which locks a manual gearbox into reverse, or an automatic into park. Absolutely fantastic bit of kit. Alternatives are Diamond-Lock and Defend-Lock.

Strange. Apparently there are no vehcies from the year my 2CV was made.

I'd love to see someone try to steal it - getting it started is an art form in itself, and I bet they'd never even find first (snigger)
