The CSO Home Guard!
Discussion
Per today's "Sunday Express" as reported by Andrea Perry und Ken Hyder.
Hopefully - this ist sensationalist stuff ... but the paper reports that Britains most sensitive building could be protected by armed CSOs....
Perhaps ex -soldiers who are already trained could conceivably be trusted ... but to train PLASTIC POLICE?
Und the paper now tells us that plastic police are not cheap either. Some (after three weeks training) are allegedly earning as much as trained bobby mit 4 years under his belt.
It also says that LanCASH£££RE are considering using vounteers from local charities und the Wimmins' Insitute to monitor CCTV und use speed guns ...for free ...

Indeed, I have heard that a CSO will be paid more than me as a probationer PC from the date they start! How do you reckon that makes me and others feel?
You'll soon earn more than them, and also can retire at 48! (in lots of cases)

Not for too much longer, once the goverment have broken the unions with regards to the NHS pension and the other none police civil service schemes, how much longer will they leave you lot alone? The reason that they are using these cheaper alternatives is the standard of people is much less than the standard a fully trained police person can acheive, and once they have enough involved they will flog the role to Group 4 and the like and spend the money saved promoting stupid schemes run by lunatics.
Some time ago I said they will have others doing police work and it was treated with some scorn but it is happening more and more.
God help us all

I dread the IMO increasingly likely of "local Police" run like the privatised traffic wardens. (There's already some kind of hint of this).
The potential for the acceptability of these people as witnesses coupled with the financial pressure to - lie and exaggerate is horrendous.
