Hogievision....

.... anyone from Merseyside Plod confirm this ?
PC Copperfield said:
The magic of television has not escaped Chief Constable Bernard Hogan-Howe. Now, let me be the first person to say that Mr. Hogan-Howe has come to my attention more than once in these pages and … I’m not going to stop now. Someone once said that a good indicator that a company was about to go bankrupt was having an ornamental fountain installed in the lobby of the head office building. I’m sure launching your own internal television channel where you are the only star is another such indicator, but public sector organisations cannot, unfortunately, go bankrupt, they merely suffer from a “lack of resources”
Mr. Hogan-Howe, or “Neo” as her prefers to be called, has already created “The Matrix”, Merseyside’s premier crime fighting organisation and he has now launched himself onto computer screens across Merseyside Police. “Hogievision” is being beamed electronically onto desktops throughout the force using video-streamed broadcasting to deliver weekly bulletins to every computer in the force. The television channel features the chief, in the style of Kim Jong-Il.
So how has this worked out in practice? My confidential informant (or C.I. as they say in The Wire) from Merseyside takes over:
"The most amusing thing is that we have steam powered computers with no speakers so we get a Harold Lloyd presentation. A project has been launched to distribute headphones to all disadvantaged pc users after NEO (the one) realised nobody could hear him. I bet the matrix don't have a Pentium 1. There is also a parallel rollout of PC speakers to bring Hogievision to the masses, but no money for overtime. I am not sure when we are meant to view it, I would be shocked and ashamed if my Inspector caught me."
See? Just as I suspected. What’s holding Hogievision back is a lack of resources.
