I do find the statment that no other system over 10km has such an effect on drivers.

Why you may ask for those not in nottingham
Going around the ring road juat as you pass the last specs you go under a roundabout near the QMC hospital (The ring road is a dual carrige way type road with a 40 limit) as you come out of the underpass bit taking a fairly gentle left bend as soon as you can then see the otherside what do you see but a f******* scamra van on the soft verg to catch everyone speeding up.
And so far the earliest ive seen them was at 5.30am on a sunday morning as I was driving to an airfield at the time and couldnt belive they would be there saving the lives of all the children and walking wombeded that would have left the hospital, crossed a slip road, over the soft verg, onto the dual carrige way affair to then cross over the cerntral divide, over the otherside of the dual carrige way affair and over another slip road that splits into 2 for the roundabout above.
Im so glad I live in nottingham.
Oh and today I almost got wiped out by another car as I was looking at my speedo in a usual police camera spot so didnt see the w@@@@er in his volvo that decided to overtake at around 60 coming in my direction, I lifted my head up from the speedo to see said jerk, car he was overtaking all coming at me bloody quickly and I had to swerve the white van I was in onto the soft verge going up wollaton road.
