Finally had a chance to have a look at the latest EVO mag (218).

I know the road that the GTR 2x 911's, M6 and the Vantage were snapped on very well (Ffestiniog to Bala road) - its a great road to drive with generally pretty good visibility permitting safe use of the width of the road. Thing is I'd never yump a car or purposefully or break traction on it though. That stuff is reserved for track.

I'm aware that there is a very conservative very establishment bunch on here that I have rarely found any common ground with, but what do people think of this kind of stuff on a public road?

Is there a member of public in sight? Nope, non issue.

There are quite probably spotters either end of a stretch of road, in phone or two-way radio contact to confirm the road's clear for the photo passes. Big difference to just going a-b.

Pah! Wimps! I go way larger than that every time I nip over to Tesco for a bag of peas.

Indeed, my Saturday morning "if in doubt, flat out" trip to Saino's is the stuff of local legend.

That makes it legal?

Nope, but it certainly means the only person at risk is the driver. Or are you one of those "well the law says so"-types?

AFAIAC if it doesn't impact anyone else then who cares?

That wasn't part of the difference I was referring to.

There are far more important things in life to worry about other than what someone else gets upto that has absolutely no impact on anything or anyone.

That said , caution needs to be exercised ..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-is...

perhaps that will make you feel better rolleyes

Yes, I often grind to a halt there. It's not just because of the MILFs, either. I can't make up my mind between courgettes and aubergines.

Wouldn't it be Petits Pois in your case?

That's a disturbingly niche fetish.
