On Friday night someone reversed into a friend's car while it was parked outside their house, causing a fair amount of damage. There is some security camera footage available from a neighbour's house, but sadly not good enough to get the number plate.

This is about the best still we can get from the footage - anyone able to identify the make & model?

My first thought is a jag, or perhaps a peugeot 406

As above, Jag XJ or possibly a horizontally squashed X-Type

Certainly NOT a Jag. Look at where the A-pillar is nearly over the front wheelarch.

It's an x-type, classic trim judging by the wheels

My first thought was X-Type (from the C-pillar). Not sure the lights/grille look right though?

Looks like it could well be a Rover 75/MG ZT to me.

One from CCTV around the corner (sorry about the quality).
Rear lights definitely hinting at X-type...

The Rover/MG A-pillars are all wrong, as is the chromed curve in the rear quarterlight. X-Type, for sure.

I did think 7, there are some elements at the front that look that way, but I'd agree with an X type.
