Hi all,

Apologies if this is a repeat of an oft asked question, I have searched on the forum, but I couldn't find the answer.

A young driver rear ended me yesterday (oo-er), he admitted liability and he informed his insurance. I got a message from them saying:

"Admiral - We are sorry to hear you have been involved in an
accident with our insured. Please contact us as soon as possible on 0330
333 5531 to see if we can help with your damage caused and supply a free
replacement vehicle to save you claiming through your own policy,
affecting your NCB and paying an excess. Please visit
www.admiral.com/we-can-help-today to find out more."

Should I contact them directly? Or go through my own insurers?

Thanks all.

You'll have to contact your own insurer anyway, and so I'd ask them first to see if they have any advice.

If it was a straightforward, low-speed shunt, and nobody was injured, then dealing directly with Admiral would probably be quicker and easier.

As above. Much easier dealing through the 3rd party's insurance.

Just need to contact your IC and tell them that is what you are doing.

So he's admitted to them that it was his fault, too.

Go direct.
