Getting a Tax disc on the web

[ashes]

Just used the new DVLA site and bought my tax disc, and I have to say its very good. Disc arrived next day, no hitches and checks MoT and insurance online.

A bit worrying when government IT projects work....

Blimey, didn't realise that was possible.

What unexpected progress. Will they spend all the money they save on the roads do you think?

www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/

(although it's unavailable today due to essential maintenance)

Last years MOT man, said it was on the cards, garages on-line, time of MOT monitored for quickness/slowness,
if it works i'll avoid miserable old scrotes hovering around post office counters complaining about
miss-addressed forms, in blue ink etc
That's just the pensioners mind you around here!

Good service - saved me queueing for ages in our Local post office.
One drawback though - Postman delivered it to the wrong address (We have a XXXXX Grove where I Live and a XXXXX Grove Road - different Post Codes!).
Good job.....
1) I'd Applied early
2) Recipient in XXXXX Grove Road was kind enough to get it re-directed!
