I was following a few cars behind a small curtain-sided van on the way out of Reading this morning. It's an NSL road, and the van was doing about 35mph. After a while, it starting weaving backwards and forwards across the centerline. When we reached the A329M, it proceeded up the slip road at 30mph, still weaving a bit.

As I passed, I saw the reason why: The driver was texting on his mobile .

Unfortunately, the van was unmarked, otherwise I'd definitely have rung up the owners and reported the guy.

Would there have been any point in getting the registration and reporting it to the police ?

No.

No proof or evidence that would be able to secure a conviction; which in any case is non endorsable. (at this time)

Nevermind..the driver will do it again...hopefully seen by a BiB next time.....and hopefully before he collided with something or someone.

A few weeks ago i was going down the A50 (dual carriage way) at a fair rate of knots in lane 2 overtaking a long queue of HGVs. I looked in the mirror to see a young lady in a Golf travelling not more than a few feet off my bumper (I couldn't see her headlights) which was dangerous enough. What was more worrying is while doing this she had her mobile in front of her face texting Told my passenger to look at the daft bint behind us; his response? "Not bad, i'd shag her!"
