Ex-spouse not paying court ordered payment
Discussion
Final hearing of a divorce settlement and a payment of £x is awarded to Billy to be paid by Jilly on 1st March. That will conclude the matter.
Come 2nd March and Jilly says "I'll pay in my own good time"
What can Billy do...and how quick can he do it.....or is it the case that Jilly can just drag her heels and end up getting a good few weeks extra to pay?

One crucial factor in determining whether to issue a judgement summons is the ability to pay.
If there are any doubts surrounding the defendant’s ability to do so, the order will not be made.

Is the payment that has been ordered a capital lump sum? If so where was the payment supposed to come from? Ie sale of a house, savings, sale of shares, somewhere else?
What is the reason that has been given for the delay and how long has the payer said the payment is now going to take?
