Firstly - liability. I was reversing out of a space in a car park. Mr audi comes around the corner. I don't see him, he doesn't see me and I hit his wing. I know I'm at fault, but 100%?
No damage to mine - £320 to his.
I'm not claiming as I have no damage - will I need to pay my excess?
I have 7 years protected no claims - how much is it likely to effect my premium?
Trying to decide whether to settle outside insurance.

This is why it's better to look out the back window, rather than use the mirrors.
It will be deemed as 100% your fault. You're reversing so you have a higher duty of car and it sounds like you drove into the side of the third party vehicle.
It won't affect your protected NCB, but you won't get another year added for this year due to the accident.
No idea how much it will affect your premiums but it's usually nothing too dramatic.
If you don't claim for your own car, there is no excess to pay.
I'd settle through insurance unless you're willing to pay for hire car charges and risk a personal injury claim landing on your doorstep months / years down the line.
