Silvery-blue Focus CF54 ??? (full VRN on request), M27 eastbound this morning, tailgating people at a distance of less than half a car's length at speeds of up to 85mph in lane 3. I watched this idiot from J3 all the way to J12 in busy traffic, watching him swerving from lane 3 to 2 and back again, accelerating up to 3 figures then diving on the brakes and resuming tailgating. Outrageous. This lunatic even carried on like this after we'd passed a shunt being dealt with by BiB on the hard shoulder and another shunt, a fresh one in lane 3 less than a mile further on. At one point he was so close to the van in front of him that there's no way he could possibly see around it or be aware of what was going on ahead.

I don't normally whinge about other people's bad driving as I see so much of it, but this really took the p1$$. And to cap it all, the road was so busy that even after 20 miles of this stupidity he was only 2 vehicles further in front of me than at the start! Pointless. Possibly the most dangerous driving I've seen in 15 years of commuting the M27.

Any Hants BiB on here? Watch out for this moron, he's an accident waiting to happen.

Aside - is it the "done thing" to post full VRNs on here? I wasn't sure so left a bit out.

Impossible to tell, I'm afraid. Driver was wearing sunglasses (was all I could see in their rear-view mirror when behind him* in traffic); otherwise I was keeping well back. I never got an opportunity for a better look, e.g. alongside, as I was keeping well out of the way.

I'd like to think that no PHer would drive like this.

* "him" used generically, couldn't tell whether it was a man or woman driving.
