I am after a speed gun for experimental purposes. Does anyone here own one or know where I could borrow/hire one for a few hours? Do they use one at bruntingthorpe for the max speed readings?

The Vmax readings are trap based with two beams.

Where have you been BTW?

Glad to hear you are still alive...

You could always ask Steve Warren, I know he has one.

He's in Africa at the moment so might not be much help! He does however own a laser gun for testing garage door openers AFAIK

Hi mate, still pop in occasionally but not so often now most of the old school have long gone and the wind ups seem to have left with them

Just checked your profile mate - well huuuubbbbaa. One very nice piece of kit you have acquired there. Stunning, and the right colour for such a monster - rather you than me cleaning it in this weather mind you

If I ever manage to sell the Chimaera I will be followed a not dissimilar route.

KITT - any idea when he is due back? Your post suggests it an extended break rather than just a package holiday.

I said that in the voice of Michael Knight when I started the post "KITT..."

Just put on a hi-viz jacket and point a hairdryer at oncoming cars. That should provide a few laughs.

cheers mate but I'd rather avoid the expense of buying one to use it once.
