Really strange scenario unfolded recently and I have reason to suspect someone I know may have been caught drink driving. Is there a way to confirm my suspicions at all ? I know it sounds like I'm just being nosey, but there is far more to it than that which I would rather leave out for now.

Nothing in local papers so far, any other avenue to check ?

that;s the question

once convicted the public records of the courts / local press will likely have something ...

otherwise innocent until proven guilty even if they were bang to rights ...

probably just caught at this stage I would guess. If anything happened it would have been last Saturday evening so I would think conviction wouldn't be this quick ?

IF by any chance my suspicions are correct..they would have had their licence back a whole 2 days since last conviction yikes

If caught and the person blows 40 or under on the breath doohickey... then they are not prosecuted (unless the cop is feeling harsh), 35 is the limit usually, 40 is the prosecution level.

so they could have been caught and then blown under so nothing more.

If prosecuted then you might be waiting a week to a few months depending on the speed of the court.

Why is it essential to find out?

+1

If it's that important, just ask them surely?

If it was as simple as that surely I would have done it in the first place ?

Said person not responding to me after certain circumstances which lead me to believe a possible 2nd DD conviction is on the way.

I doubt any more advice can be given until you dispense with the cloak-and-dagger routinetongue out

The sole advice I need is , where can I find out if someone has recently acquired a DD ban. The reasons or circumstances make no odds .

If it was a matter of days ago they wouldn't have been through the courts this quickly. When my idiot mate was caught DD, he was driving for another few months before he went to court, about 6 or so IIRC. If it hasn't gone that far then you'll not be able to find out, unless he, someone he's told or the police will tell you.
