I'm sure this should be ok, but I might be wrong.

I need to collect some circular hoops that are 1.9 metres in diameter. I have a Mondeo Estate, and this measures 1.88 metres wide from the tips of the mirrors. Assuming I can fix these hoops securely to the roof bars, I figure this is a legally acceptable way to transport them. Am I correct?

So they are only 2cm wider than your car?

If I were you I'd be okay with that just make sure you secure it properly!

Well - they're only 2cm wider than the official width of the car, but they will stick out quite a long way from the edges of the roof.

Does the official width include the door mirrors?

How deep are they? If you mount them on the roof rack at an angle then they won't be wider than the car.
