Have a quick question regarding the conduct of a barrister in a very recent civil case, and need to know if pursuing the matter has merit, can pm the details.

Appreciate any help.

I cannot post the issue as previous posts by me on ph have been used by said barrister in court.

Call or email them...?

We know that if you have had a bad experience with a barrister, or other person we regulate, you may be feeling angry and stressed, and you may not know what you can do about it.

This information will:

• explain what complaints we can deal with;
• help you work out if you want to complain;
• explain how to make a complaint;
• help you make your complaint effectively; and
• explain what will happen as a result of your complaint.

The Bar Standards Board regulates a number of people, this can include barristers, unregistered barristers and BSB Authorised Bodies. if you would like to know more about who we regulate then please click here.

We are committed to ensuring that nobody is disadvantaged in making a complaint because of a disability or impairment.

If you would like this information in a different format or any other help, please phone our switchboard on 020 7611 1444 and ask to speak to the Professional Conduct Department Information Line.

We are here from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Or you can email us at assessmentcomplaints@barstandardsboard.org.uk.

Is anyone else trawling the OPs old posts now to see if anything interesting comes up biggrin

Is it because you said the Goffey is often confused with a Hales? That does sound pretty confrontational.

Ha, no its nothing to do with my antics on PH biggrin

Had some great info in the last day, so thanks guys who pm'd me, as well as those who posted above.

The occasion where I was being stalked on here by my ex wifes solicitor during my divorce hearing actually resulted in her barrister husband telling the judge I had purchased a Tristar which I had not declared as an asset on my form E.

I explained to the judge that a Tristar was actually a 200 seat commercial jet airliner, and it had been a joke on PH, the barrister did not have a clue what a Tristar even was, just mud slinging and hoping some stuck.

The current situation is not so amusing though. Same barrister, I imagine they are now reading this.

Please tell us the judges reaction, could you see his lips curling holding back the laugh?
