Wondering if there any divorce lawyers here that could give me a hand with a form D11 to request Decree Absolute be done early. Downloaded it on advice from court but it's gobbledegook to me! Happy to provide beer tokens, PM me how much it'd be. Ta muchly!

Not a lawyer but the really really important bit is the consent order that sorts out the financial element, decree absolute means no longer married but doesn't deal with the money side.........pay for proper advice from a proper family lawyer

The judge in my case was very helpful.
At the end of financial hearing (quite quick as we reached a consent order before hearing that court was willing to rubber stamp) he asked if there was anything else he could deal with that day as he had 10 minutes to spare.
I advised him I would be immediately sending in a request for decree absolute. He said he could deal with it there and then, asked me 4 or 5 questions then said done, decree absolute granted and stamped something.

Exit courts straight to pub for celebratory drinks :-)

IANAL, but I represented myself through the whole divorce. It's fairly easy if you are reasonably bright and are willing to read up on the process.

The ex has burnt through £18k ish of solicitors and barristers fees, I spent £150 on one session with a solicitor just to ask some questions and get assistance with initial divorce papers.

Yeah the soon to be ex and I are working on the consent order, it's totally amicable and we've remained good friends so far which helps, just need the decree absolute with urgency for another reason :/
