I got 3 points for 62 in a 40 from memory (Honestly thought it was a 60).

You and I both are about to get a load of old legalese flannel, but (inthe real world) if you get any number, it'll be three. I'm guessing this'll leave you three away from either a totting ban or a revocation? Drive carefully.

Fairly unlikely - Speed awareness (1mph over threshold).
Most likely - 3pt, £100 FPN.
Fairly unlikely, depending on state of your current licence - a court date, the outcome of which would depend on a whole raft of things.

Unless something drastic changes legally, you'll not get more than 3pts for speeding without a court date.

What is it with so many of these 40mph speed limits.

The majority of these roads can easily take 50mph with out any problems.

Country roads near me 60mph.Anything over 40 is lethal except for the locals who think it's a rally track.

I've heard all the arguments against,just my humble opinion.
