Tried searching on this on Google and on the forums but can't find anything.

I was driving to the Tough Mudder event at Cholmondeley Castle, just off the A49 on Friday evening. Completely my own fault that I missed a 30 sign and went through a camera doing an indicated 37-38 on an uncalibrated speedo. It didn't flash but when I drove back through yesterday in the daylight I haven't actually seen this type of camera before. Looked a little like the speedcurb type of camera but larger and with extra cutouts in it. While I was knackered after a day at work and then driving down there, it really is my own stupid fault and I should have seen the sign, but I just want to know if anyone has any experience/knowledge of these type of cameras and if I may have sneaked through or if it is the case that they don't actually flash and I will be getting a letter within the next 14 days.

Thanks in Advance

It used to be the case that almost every rear-facing camera was a Gatso with a film camera in it. Every one would flash on every activation.

Since the advent of digital cameras there is, in all digital cameras, an option of whether to use the flash on all activations or only when the flash was required, i.e. when it was too dark not to use the flash.

As a result not all cameras flash on every activation whether front or rear facing.

First website I went to but none of the cameras on there look like the one I went through. That's why I posted location specifics incase anyone with local knowledge might have any idea.
