How long does it take to get a fine?

Sorry if this has been asked before...

How long does it take to get a fine after driving through a scamera? I went through the one in Virginia Water a bit too fast on the 20th Feb. I've heard nothing since so is it safe to assume I won't get done...

If the car is registered in your name, and you weren't in the middle of moving house at the time then you should be ok.

Normaly the NIP will be served within 14 days of the offence. If the car is a company car, then the registered keeper will get the NIP and will have to return it with your details on. The 14 day rule does not apply then.

Its in my name, and haven't moved house for years so I guess I'm in the clear.

If you do get a NIP for it in the future, remember the 14 day rule..... Don't be inadvertently suckered into accepting it

Where is the scamera in Virginia Water? I've never seen one.

Its in Sunningdale, south of VW on the A30 (I thought I'd just call it VW as it was on the way to the VW meet).

They've got one each side, a bit hidden. Going south its just as you go into the 30, going north its just over the railway line (slow down, bump over the rails, hit the loud pedal, see the white lines, hit the anchors)
