Mightily miffed. As above today just after I'd paid for my shopping at the till right bloody next to the security station this nutter was stood at. I observed him very well as I walked past him just 3 feet away to the till and then back again right in front of him 3 feet away on the way out. I also recognise the guy as having worked there for years while I've been shopping there. Then just as I exit the store he leaps out and accuses me of not paying for my shopping. Maybe if he paid attention to what he was doing he'd have seen me walk past him 3 feet away there and back while I bought and paid. Not fun being accused of stealing in front of all the other shoppers walking by. I showed him the receipts and asked why on earth he'd stopped me. "The way you were walking."

What? One foot in front of the other like most humans?

I may well be way off beam here but if you had said something like "you cant touch me, get lost and leave me alone" he'd be powerless to even lay a finger on you let alone pursue a citizens arrest

Comments welcome, especially from anyone who actually knows if this is true smile

Tried that once. I cheated and used a kangaroo armed with a Rolf Harris.

I won a trial against Rolf. I used a team of hares. Realised that he doesn't like hares.

He was indeed powerless to stop me without using physical force which would have been assault and battery under UK law and for which Tesco could have been sued. However his option was to follow me to the car, take the reg number, call the police, I then have to have them turn up at the house, go through a right rigmarole with receipts etc which I couldn't be bothered with. So I showed him the receipts. It was just annoying that he was stood right next to me while I paid if he he'd actually been paying any attention.

I think you need a special license for that now.
Although I think you can still buy ordinary ones and freeze them yourself.

You guys are missing the point. Mr Diseasal has been disrespected. By someone who CLEARLY has a worse job than him and who seems to be not very good at it. OP has done ABSOLUTELY the right thing. He made this guy's life easy for him by presenting his receipt for his lawfully obtained items, raged about it in his head all the way home, googled his legal standing then showed everyone how restrained and merciful he's been by posting it on a message board.

I say BRAVO!
