Number plates in the winter
Discussion
To answer your question - they only get away with it for as long as it takes for a random Police patrol to a) spot them b) have the opportunity to turn around and c) have time to actually stop them, the same as other numberplate offences really. Less Police on the roads & lower budgets = less "soft crime" can be dealt with.
“Number plates are an indispensable part of everyday enforcement. “We have speed cameras; we have red light cameras; we have all sorts of cameras that are used for enforcement - all of them depend entirely on reading the registration of an offending vehicle."

Cars get stopped to! I stopped 4 yesterday. All were issued with a wet wipe or a £100 fpn. They all took up the option of taking a wet wipe.
Good to see all the rapists/burglars/drug dealers in your area have been caught and locked up.Gassing Station | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
