On the A6 Desborough toward Market Harborough, between Desborough B576 Junction (Northamptonshire) and Market Harborough Kettering Rd Junction (Leicestershire) there is a Traffic Master camera looking in both directions. This is a blue pole, with two cameras in blue housing looking in opposite directions. It's been there for years but I'd never really paid any attention to it.
Recently I did pay attention to it and noticed there is a new black camera/device mounted a bit further down the same blue pole as the Traffic Master cameras. Because I hadn't really given it much thought in the past, I don't know just how recent it is. It's looking in one direction. There doesn't seem to be a flash on it. When driving towards it at night, you can see a red glow/flash that comes and goes every now and then (perhaps as each car passes).
Does anyone have any idea what it may be? It looks a bit like the fixed ANPR cameras. Also could be one of the new(ish) 'Vector' cameras. Or even a 'Speedspike' camera. I'm just naming any camera that is black and slightly round now....
