Just a quickie really.

Daily commute involves a motorway with gantry signs on, Chance to speed would be a fine thing, but heavy traffic stops that sort of thing.

Last few days/week the speed limit signs have been on, but only over 2 lanes. I am assuming that the 3rd sign is broken or something.

Anyway, does that render all 3 lanes unenforceable? And if someone was lucky enough to creep over the 40 limit (unlikely) in the lane with no limit above, would they still get a ticket?

It is entirely possible to get a ticket if you go under a speed limit sign, as I believe a picture is taken of the sign alongside the picture of the vehicle.
