I want to increase the air flow into the front of my TR7. It was built and registered in 1978. Is it legal for me to use a stick-on number plate on the bottom edge of the bonnet? If so, where can I get one made up?

Thanks for help

IIRC short answer = no. Cars registered post June 1972 must comply with all relevant regs.

If you do a search in this forum you will find links to the relevant regs.

Although you can chance leaving it off, £30 fine non-endorsable I think.

Thanks for help - even if it is "the wrong answer".

Perhaps I'll use a square front plate on the corner
