Kids on a minibike
Discussion
There are some kids around my neighbourhood that keep riding around on a minibike. On the pavement usually.
Now I don't want to be a miserable spoilsport, but the noise and the danger are annoying me.
I've called the local police station, is there anything else I can do? Obviously I don't want to confront them, as its easy for one of them to run a key down my car when I'm not there.

Kids eh? brilliant stuff.
When I were a lad I used to ride my Raleigh Wisp on the pavement, underage without a helmet, got told off a few times by the local bobby, but that was all.
I had a go kart made out of an old steel bedstead and a Lamberetta 200 engine, it was huge, as wide as it was long and more or less square. It was hard work pushing it to the local disused quarry so I used to drive it on the road, I did get into trouble for that, got a right earfull off of PC Froggat.
I suppose now I would have a nice set of ASBO's.

A chav on a mini moto was going along the cycle lane on a local road, i pulled left to turn into a sideroad having checked my mirror and nearly killed the er. Theyre so low you cant see them in a mirror from some angles. The cock didnt even have a helmet on. Thing is, if u hit them theyd probably try and sue or something.....so next time i'll make sure i run over his head....

Simply on the fact that they do not make it plain that these are fun machines NOT FOR ROAD USE. More interested in making a sale that stopping a nuisance to people.

The rsponsible ones do.... http://store.securehosting.com/stores/sh201943/shophome.php
When did a car dealer last say to you "remember Sir, don`t drive over 70mph"? They will probably take pride in how much faster than the limit it will go.
My kids have a mini motoX bike which they ride on private land well away from anyone. My nephews have mini racers which they race around the tennis courts at their house.
Sorry DVD, but that is the first daft thing I have ever seen you post.

Sellers should be prosecuted.

And is that an offence?
You do understand that people are supposed to have broken a law before they are prosecuted, don't you?
Doing something that annoys you, or that you don't like really isn't enough.

Only if you honk your horn (no, it's not rude, missus!) outside the house of the fare you've come to collect - Streaky
Actually Streaky whilst an ASBO may or may not the right way to make an offence out of this the honking of the hooter when collecting a fare just irritates the life out of me.
Likewise those who depart from visiting relatives/friends. You have just said goodbye so why the need for an additional honk? That is one offence for which capital punishment should be considered.
Its easy now that I am a grumpy old git to criticise the kids on their little bikes, but if I think back to my own youth then I am certain I must have caused lots of annoyance with my various off road illegal bikes, perhaps living in a more rural area it was just tolerated, these electric minibikes are at least quiet and dont interfere with the telly!
In the day and age where kids cant even play play football with a hard ball in the playground, and skipping ropes are banned. no wonder kids get these bikes. Just like your fast cars etc they get a buzz out of it.
think back to your youth....i bet most of you were annoying little gits some of the time.
ok they may hurt themselves if they fall off. but they will learn.
if they ride it everyday, just have a little word to the parents or them and say. look im ok with you riding it. but please can it not be EVERY day. just a little bit of respect.
Rather than calling the plod, and making the situation worse.
just how i see it

just seen the same kids towing their pint sized minimoto rossi lookalike bike home after hooning around the local Tesco parking lot again. Damn they look fun
I remember when skateboards were all the craze (2nd time around not back in the clay wheel days..) and the BiB were coming down hard on this scourge of anti social behaviour. We was rebels we was..
