It wasn't the speed. False plates and a knife did for him.
Bit of each.The article said:
14 months for perverting the course of justice, 14 months for dangerous driving and two months for carrying the sheath knife.
Doesn't look like one of life's geniuses. And... Wisbech.

Having the same rucksack as someone seems a bit like clutching at straws if that's all the evidence they had though surely?
Bit of an idiot regardless, you'd have thought he could at least put a false plate off another bike as well!
When they went to his house having caught him on cam on genuine plates, he came up with some story about a gym acquaintance testing the bike so the police went to check the gym's CCTV whereby they couldn't find the acquaintance but lo and behold DID manage to find footage of matey with the rucksack.Bit of an idiot regardless, you'd have thought he could at least put a false plate off another bike as well!
Admittedly not as good as catching him at the roadside but certainly a lot more than just having the same bag.
He overtook an off duty police officer on solid white lines on the A47 near Sawtry, on April 9, Cambridge News reports.
Whyatt was asked to pull over but after gesturing to the hard shoulder he increased his speed to more than double the speed limit.
The officers began a pursuit but due to its high speed and risk to the rider and other members of the public it was discontinued.
Am I reading this correctly that an OFF DUTY Police officer initiated a pursuit?
