As I may have mentioned before, my bike has a credit card sized number plate hidden high in the undertray, along with indicators the size of the average human iris and some particularly small (but bright) rear lights. Couple this with a blue irridium visor and you get the idea. (Scam that if you can! )

My mate has similarly small plate and open pipes on his V twin.

Imagine our delight when we pick up a battenberg liveried 850 almost on our tails. Mate is throttled off in top and I'm trying to hide my nakedness with anything I can find... Imagine how that joy increased when followed us into the petrol station. My first thoughts.... Totally Busted

Not at all, nice Mr Plod simply went in and bought his crisps and was on his merry way.

Phew

We were riding sensibly at the time!

Did he give you the old 'nod' as he went past or was he more interested in stuffing his face?

Personally i'd have come over and checked the bike out and had a chat. I stopped a lad the other day in a 200SX which had flames coming out the exhaust. It was opposite the nick so i called out a mate. I told the fella in the Nissan to rev large as my mate passed by the car. The flame was about 10 feet, which is about the height my mate jumped. Needless to say the SX owner was sent on his way with 'words of advice' and a grin like a Chesire cat.....
