It is always someones mate when I hear about these cases.

Probably best to remove such device for 14 days if it does it's job, then no evidence available

Don't think anyone here has been caught, and there must be quite a large number of people with garage door openers

Lets assume it was civies in the van,and your mate did use a jammer.What law did he break?
As far as i can see he would only have commited an offence of "obstruction" if BiB were in the van,no BiB then no obstruction of an officer carring out his duties
