CCJ Appeal

Five weeks ago I won a CCJ against a company with a 14 day order

A week past the due date they paid half

Today they have emailed that they have decided they want to appeal the judgement on some spurious grounds they have now dreamed up

Is there any timeline for lodging an appeal?


They also said in their letter they would not appeal if I agreed to just keep the half

Was there a hearing which they attended or did you win by default?

Nope - they showed up, they then did some fibbing which they Judge saw through and he then issued the orders inc costs

In that case, my understanding is that an appeal can only be made based on a point of law, and not further evidence.

Tell them to jog on and pay up ....

Despite the timescale I still don't have a HC transfer up completed.

They believe there are grounds to show the SJE was not unbiased and therefore did not adhere to CPR50
