Greetings. There may be an event on today because I saw fezzers, porkers and tivs all in their finery today. Unfortunatly, coming out of my road I came face to face with a 2 wheeled talivan just at the 30-40 limit change between portchester and north harbour.
At the time i saw the 4 inch square sign on the bike's luggage box I was concentrating on the road more than the speedo, but was still in 2nd after turning and by the pitch of the engine was doing 25-30 (pitch perfect hearing). Still i'm only human and may be out as i wasnt listening for pitch at the time and am running on memory. If i did drift over it wasnt by much and was perfectly safe. I do try to stick to the limit as i'm a new driver with 3 points left before my licence gets revoked.
The bike wasnt in a good or bad location so its mk1 eyeball scanning passively versus targeting reticule scanning actively. The guy was gone on the return journey
Still, i'm in a bright red car with a new front plate and should reflect infra red both from the bonnet and the plate quite nicely. I might as well paint a target on the front. I was too close for the snooper to go off so that is no help. On the plus side I was in the left lane after having just turned and people on the right hand lane would have just come flying round the roundabout and make a pretty inviting target also.
The clock starts now. 14 day wait.

1) Shame on the bike for following the letter of the law but not the spirit. If a camera warning sign is required then it should be placed well before the camera, just as the highway code would have us use our warning triangles
2) Shame on you for driving safely by watching the road rather than looking out for cameras!
. What will become of you? Surely you'd rather become a KSI statistic than get some points on your licence? Where are your priorities, man?
There's a nice letter in the Sunday Times today. A diplomat driving US investors was done for speeding by a covert camera. The US investors will not now be investing in Shropshire. Of course we only have the view of the author, but if he's for real then it's surely getting beyond a joke now? Like these 20mph SPECs in London that will earn £1.5m/year for monitoring a 200 yard stretch of road. Persecution? More like an out-and-out vendetta. Will nobody rid us of these pillocks?

There is a large permanant warning sign in one direction but not the one I came from. I dont know whether he was going after my carriageway or the opposing one. Since we all know that revenue is valued over safety it is tactically better if he was going for my carriageway, confirmed by the box being on my side.

I'm not just threatened with points here, as a new driver with 3 points already i'll lose my licence and my livelyhood.

The satisfying feeling of pwn4ge. Hope to see more of it. At the moment i'm worried about losing my house and car. I'll be researching pepipoo and the SPL forum for ideas, and advising my parents, where a NIP will arrive as my car is still registered there. I dont plan on being the easy target my demographic makes me out to be.
All the time the government encourages little hitlers (i.e. by giving them a financial incentive), whether they're in a van or behind a desk running a "partnership", you'll continue to get this persecution which will have no positive effect of safety.
The same goes with clampers and traffic wardens. They're given a financial incentive, then set off to do their work while the government can sit back and watch events unfold. (All in the name of "safety" of course.

)Yes we all know this and see it every day; part of why i want to emmigrate in the next 5 years or so.
Just ranting because I cant rememeber clearly if I was in 2nd or 3rd at the time, having an effect on my actual speed. I do remember the guy taking his eyes off the reticule, looking down and doing something with his hands as I passed him.
What do forum members rate my odds at?
