I have checked my whole policy. It mentions nothing about loss stolen or anything just information on breakdown, windscreen repair and accidents number etc.
The keys weren't anywhere near the door or anything but the window wasn't securely locked. They have climbed through the window. Stole my wife's bag with the keys in it. And gone.
I'm hoping the car is found but panicking about the policy now.

Was this a car window, or a house window? The keys weren't anywhere near the door or anything but the window wasn't securely locked. They have climbed through the window. Stole my wife's bag with the keys in it. And gone.

There's the keys thing. But also what does 'protect from loss or damage' mean?

3. Care of your car
You or any person covered by the policy must:
- protect your car from loss or damage
- make sure your car is roadworthy
- allow us to inspect your car at any reasonable time we ask
- always take the keys out of the ignition and remove them completely when your car is
left unattended. You must lock all doors and close all windows and sun-roofs
