Signed up for broadband by a company called origin. Gave credit card for upfront charge and bank details for direct debit. website said problem with credit card and they'd call.

Since then, nothing. Contacted them 1 week later via online form thing on their website and enquired as to what was happening.

Since then, nothing. Righto-ho forget it then I'll find another provider, but as I've technically agreed to a contract I could presumably be held to should they ever sort out what they're doing, how do I cover against them popping up and demanding fulfilment or payment in full?

(And who's good for fibre thats not affiliated with BT?)

You will have 14 days to cancel.

I would ring and cancel, also email and maybe even follow up with a letter if you aren't getting any response from the company.

Check what you signed. There is also every chance that they haven't fulfilled their side of the contract... in which case tell them so, cancel any payments and sign up with someone else.

How long ago did you sign up? They took a couple of weeks to sort mine out and I had to chase them too, but it did happen.

I know someone who worked there.

I'm told it's chaos and their systems are appalling... from what I've heard I would take the risk myself.

PS

They would have provisioned by BT. Pretty much the only way to avoid Openreach is Virgin Media.

I've a couple of days for 14 day cooling off.

I can't find an actual email address for this company. Trouble with online form is I have no proof I've served them. social media?
