Hey all,
I received a PCN a few weeks ago, parked up at a Velodrome where I went cycling, being the 1st time I've ever been there I was a bit pre-occupied with finding out where to go and forgot to put my registration number into the machine inside to get the 4 hours free parking for customers. I appealed the PCN, I do not have a receipt of payment and paid cash (£5). I have appealed with the evidence I have : the wrist-band you're given upon paying, 2 photos of my bicycle on the track with the velodrome in the background, screenshots of 2 cycling apps that recorded my cycle there (Strava and Garmin connect) showing times, duration, date, location, that sort of thing.
They asked for yet further evidence, so I got screenshots of the photo details on my phone showing time, date, location etc, and also sent them a copy of a certificate I received for a later trip to the velodrome to show that I have since been there and parked correctly. I made them a generous (in my opinion) offer of £5 for admin costs, but I think it's pretty obvious I was a paying customer that forgot once to put reg details into the machine.
I've read it's possible for this to go to small claims court, surely the odds are in my favor, what do you reckon?

Given the PPC involved, yes, it could end up there. You're nowhere near that stage yet though. You can appeal to their better nature, but given the Beavis judgement don't bank on it.

See above! However, all is not lost. Have you read this? - https://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/en/content/cms/l...
Try to get LV Regional Park onside especially given you are a repeat customer and it was a one-off error on your very first visit.

Before offering advise I do need to know more facts.
1. I assume the PCN was sent to you by post as the registered keeper?
2. I assume in your appeal you have admitted to being the driver?
3. You have, I assumed, appealed the ticket to the parking company who have rejected your appeal.
4. The PC will also have given details of the independent appeal body. Have you also appealed to them? And which appeal body is it?
5. Will also need dates of the parking event, the PCN received, any appeals and dates of rejection.
I will be on line on most days and will respond when you reply.
In the mean time there are a number of other web site which can help.
