If a broker (or maybe even the insurance company/underwriters) made a clerical error but you had 100% proof you (as the insured driver) were not in the wrong (you have checked policy documents, paid the premium and been 100% honest in the insurance submission) could you be uninsured?

Say you had 2 cars, on 1 policy, with 1 to be taken OFF cover at a certain time but somewhere down the line the wrong vehicle was taken off cover... something not easily checkable and even the brokers emails showed what car SHOULD have remained on cover...

If my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle.
Whats your point caller?

If it's an obvious clerical/admin error then any insurance would be valid.

That issue is more down to broker conduct than non-declaration so insurers aren’t likely to penalise the PH in that situation.

Worth double checking whenever changes are made to a policy as clerical errors are too easy to make with increasing proportion of online docs and less obvious QA processes in the workplace.

Easier to sort an issue with a policy before you need to rely on it.

I wouldn't want to risk it.

Always best off checking your documents manually.
