Car insurance and PCH

Hi All, In April of this year I had my car stolen. It was on PCH from VWFS. . The hire term ended on 31st of May.My car was subsequently recovered and had minor damage.after recovery the car went directly to the insurers repair agent and following repairs was eventually returned on July 19th.. Understandably VWFS have invoiced me for extra days hire. I enjoyed no use of the vehicle from the date of theft until its return to VWFS. My insurers deny they are liable for these monies. Has anyone experienced anything similar and what was the outcome?.

I guess this is another area where consumer car insurance isn't matched to what is basically a business way of using a car, so I think this will be down to you.

Might be worth going through the insurance company's complaint procedure and if they reject it then complain to the FOS - if nothing else at least it will highlight the issue.
