Accident claim

Surely if there is proof your friend wasn't driving ( you weren't also) then there's fk all to claim for?

In summary.

You fronted some insurance for your mate

He crashed and decided to get rid of the car and cancel his insurance, whilst hoping it all went away

It didn't

You, as the policyholder, are now being chased for this accident.

Your mate is stitching you up.

Simple answer. Hand it all to the insurer at the time. Get some new mates.

OP crashed and claimed friend who was at work at the time was driving then ignored everything and policy was cancelled (conveniently) by someone in the hope they'd give up.
