If a lorry is carrying a wide load such as a park home, is it permitted to straddle lanes 2&3 in order to overtake a slower moving LGV in lane 1?
Just curious, having seen one do it on the M5 this morning.
Id say yes as if he didn't then the trucks would start to back up behind as he d be taking2 lanes ish up in lane 1 and 2. Just curious, having seen one do it on the M5 this morning.
Car drivers would have to be on the ball as they might just come sailing down to It and realise he across 2 lanes to late.
But should have prior clearance from Highways Agency, with a specified route.
