This is minor but just want to make sure i do the right thing.

Approached a roundabout earlier in the right hand lane looking to turn off at the 3rd exit (3oclock).

There were two cars waiting to join the roundabout in the left lane as i came up on the right. First car pulled out and then the second car pulled out the same time as i was just about to join the roundabout. Both those cars were going straight on. 1st car stuck to the left lane but second car started to drift into my lane. I sounded the horn but it still drifted. Minor contact was made and we both pulled over.

Out of the other car came a 5ft 5 scrote with a very aggressive manner. Apparently, according to him, i was to blame as i was the car behind and its always the car behind's fault along with a million other snippets of nonsense he tried to use as defence such as i was speeding, i was in the wrong lane etc. Really clutching at straws.

I kept calm throughout even when he threatened to 'ring my neck' which i found quite amusing. Turns out it was his mother's car and i was going to pay for the damage etc.

Anyway, there is virtually zero damage on my car, a very light mark on the side of the bumper but unfortunately/stupidly i didn't check his car but i cant imagine there being anything.

So, what do i do? Do i need to report it to insurers and/or police just so there's a record of it? Do i just forget about it?

If Mr Aggressive didn't exchange details with you ,he might not be insured on his mother's car....scratchchin

Report it to the police as an intelligence item
They may go round in pairs trying to intimidate people

If details weren't exchanged at the scene (names, insurance details, addresses etc.), you need to report to police as soon as possible and in any case within 24 hours.
