Does anyone know about the camera at the end of the slip between the M6 northbound and M62 eastbound, i.e. just before you join the M62?

Maybe here sliproad.

Looks like a digital speed camera, rear facing, but not sure what it's enforcing.

I think its a red light camera for the new traffic lights that are there...

Ooh! I didn't notice any traffic lights, I guess they were turned off as there was very light traffic.

How fast were you going?

I’ve been away for a few months, but before I went there was a 50 limit covering the Croft interchange on both M6 & M62. That was covered by Specs. Is that still there, or is it a leftover now that it’s been removed

Probably about 50, it's at the end of a pretty sharp slip road and you're looking to the right as you start to think about merging onto the M62. Unlikely that many exceed 70 there, that's why I wondered about the camera.

Although it may be hard to speed there, it could still be a 'speed on green' camera that enforces red lights and the speed limit (when the lights aren't red).

I think it looked like this. I'll have to look out for the lights next time I pass.

Traffic lights are now in place. Unsure if they're working yet as it was mid morning when I went through yesterday so they were off but I would assume that your camera is ready for them.
