Forgot to tax cax, think I could have passed a anpr!

I stupidly completely forgot to tax my car at the start of the month, last Friday I went past a mobile speed van, unsure if it was an anpr van or just speed camera van, was In a rural area in village which makes me think more likely just a speed van...?
Anyway, it made me realise my tax was close to being due/due, I checked and was 9 days out of date, I got home 10 mins later and taxed the car online! I’m just worried what to expect, do all speed vans have anpr cameras in? I’m just worried what the fine will be!

Seeing as you have taxed it now, it will have been backdated to the start of the month so you should be ok.

Genuine question, how do you remember your log in details for an account you’ve never used before that you set up 4 years ago, but forget to tax your car? DVLA even send you a handy reminder the month before.

It has been worrying me so thought I’d post on here and ask, I knew I’d registered years ago and tried the password and was all good!
I remember seeing the reminder, got put in the “paperwork pile” and completely forgot about it!

I may be wrong but I doubt the DVLA trawls the database for expired VED as early as the 9th of each month.

Most likely a speed camera - they get more revenue from speeding fines.
